The Story

Harry DeForge has had just about enough. The church up the hill from his small gas station has grown big and powerful. When the church refuses to move a bus that has been parked at the station for years, Harry and the church come to blows. As the controversy brews, Harry's ex-wife, a loyal member of the church, seeks to pull their son close as he and his boyfriend try to keep the secret that ultimately explodes into tragedy.

The Bus is a story told straight from the heart of small-town America. It is a timely tale of hidden love, irretrievable loss, and one family's desperate attempt to hold on.

Called "Wonderful!" "...heart-breaking..." and "...painfully alive and crackling!" by audiences at readings this spring, 'The Bus' is a new play by Burlington playwright James Lantz and directed by Seth Jarvis.
